With Us Since the beginning |
In 1999, John established his practice in the Hollywood neighborhood to focus on providing design services within the Portland community, and soon became known as "The Hollywood Architect." His experiences over the last 30 years have included a broad array of projects, including; public and multi-family housing, industrial, high-tech, health care, jails, offices, single-family dwellings, and commercial tenant improvements. The uniting factor in all these projects is that creative solutions were discover through the common goal for listening to the client. John earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon in 1977, became a registered Oregon Architect in 1981. He recently completed the Sustainable Building Advisor Program through Cascadia Region Green Building Council. By being active as an officer and board member in neighborhood and civic groups such as the Hollywood Boosters, Central Northeast Neighbors, and the Girls Scouts of America he understands and is committed to strengthening the urban fabric. His active and current participation as a Royal Rosarian demonstrates his enthusiastic love for Portland. His humor and zest for life keeps him active as an old boy rugby player, and he loves to travel to Italy with his wife and friends. Ireland is his current destination though as his oldest daughter lives in Ennis, Ireland and recently gave birth to his first granddaughter! His favorite night of the year is Halloween. Ask him why everyone in the neighborhood knows his home as the "Halloween House". |
Tiffany Craughan |
Accredited Bachelors from Washington State University |
With Us Since Novermber 2006 |
Tiffany is an integral member of our design team. She has worked on a rich assortment of projects, including commercial, mixed-use, and intricate remodels. Tiffany consistently meets challenges with enthusiasm and innovative solutions, whether she is working with the City on a permitting issue, participating in the design process with her modeling capabilities or performing construction management duties. Tiffany quickly moved to Portland after graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University in 2005. Faster than a speeding bullet she has completed her NCARB Internship and is currently planning her approach to the architecture licensing exams in the new year. Tiffany loves the urban lifestyle in Portland. She can get herself to and from most areas of Portland without using a car. While Pullman was "nice", Tiffany intends on calling Portland home for quite a while. Outside the office Tiffany has an action-packed life. To keep herself well-rounded she plays trombone for a local symphony and she is an aficionada of the Muppets. When we need a recommendation for a new dining adventure, she is our in-house expert. If she has leisure time she can currently be found designing a prototype vampire home. |
