The design expanded the existing basement space towards the sidewalk and included a small interior ramp to transition from grade level to the original basement elevation. At the roof level of the addition, a new covered entry porch was provided to access the existing first floor offices. The remaining roof area of the addition was covered in earth to support generous plantings to enhance the porch environment and soften the addition's presence. |
